One of the most successful Arthur Murray Franchises in the nation, our team is back from the Arthur Murray International Semi-Annual Area 4 Franchisee Meeting, comprised of franchises from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Kentucky, Ontario, Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri. Thanks to a rigorous internal training program that includes award-winning guest coaches from across the country, our instructors continued to shine brightly as they represented Tim and Barbara Haller, studio owners, and our students.
Craig (Studio Supervisor), seen above with Area 4 Director Lynda Smith, and Assistant Director Jill DeMarlo, received two top 20 worldwide awards for Top Teacher and Top Supervisor.
An award-winning dance professional, Craig was born and raised in Scotland, U.K. He started his dance training at the age of 7. At 16 he was offered a scholarship to London Studio Centre, a top theatre college in London. His passion for dance has allowed him to travel extensively around the world, from stage shows to Dance Captain onboard Celebrity Cruises. Craig moved to Nashville, TN in 2013 to continue his career. Recently relocating to the Dayton Area, Craig has received numerous top teacher designations and was named to the 2021 Arthur Murray International Winner’s Circle as one of the top three worldwide instructors for Athur Murray International.
Amanda (Bridal Department Director) and Orion (Studio Dance Director), seen above with Area 4 Dance Director Leslie Spearin, won two performance awards for Best Bachata – One Dance, and Best Nightclub Two-Step – One Dance.
Overseeing our studio bridal program, Amanda was born and raised in Eaton, Ohio. As a child she took classes in tap, ballet, and jazz. As an adult she took salsa lessons and always loved to go out dancing, but never thought about pursuing it as a career. She was working in the food industry when she met Barbara Haller, whom offered her a job on the spot! An award-winning dance professional with numerous titles and Mirror Ball Tropies under her belt, Amanda’s favorite part of her career is hearing people say how dancing has changed their lives, as it has certainly changed hers!
Orion was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. He grew up competing in sports such as Jiu Jitsu, Basketball, and Track and Field. After high school he followed his love for sports and became certified sports and injury therapist, massage therapist, and personal trainer. In 2011 he joined the UCSB collegiate ballroom team where he competed in International Latin and Standard. His passion for dancing quickly lead him into joining the Arthur Murray family in 2012 and since then has been very successful on the competition floor. Most recently placing 3rd in Open Professional Standard and winning the Rising Star Smooth competition at the Arthur Murray world championships in Las Vegas.
