About our award-winning instructors: Craig was born and raised in Scotland, U.K. He started his dance training at the age of 7. At 16 he was offered a scholarship to London Studio Centre, a top theatre college in London. His passion for dance has allowed him to travel extensively around the world, from stage shows to Dance Captain onboard Celebrity Cruises. Craig moved to Nashville, TN in 2013 to continue his career. He recently relocated to Dayton, OH where he is currently Dance Director at the Arthur Murray Dance Center.
Amanda was born and raised in Eaton, Ohio. As a child she took classes in tap, ballet, and jazz. As an adult she took salsa lessons and always loved to go out dancing, but never thought about pursuing it as a career. She was working in the food industry when she met Barbara Haller, who offered her a job on the spot! Amanda’s favorite part of her career is hearing people say how dancing has changed their lives, as it has certainly changed hers!
The newest instructor on our team, Orion was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. He grew up competing in sports such as Jiu Jitsu, Basketball, and Track and Field. After high school he followed his love for sports and became certified sports and injury therapist, massage therapist, and personal trainer.
In 2011 he joined the UCSB collegiate ballroom team where he competed in International Latin and Standard. His passion for dancing quickly lead him into joining the Arthur Murray family in 2012 and since then has been very successful on the competition floor. Most recently placing 3rd in Open Professional Standard and winning the Rising Star Smooth competition at the Arthur Murray world championships in Las Vegas.
Megan has an extensive dance background as a child. After a ten-year break from the dance floor due to an injury, this Miami University graduate with a master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology reignited her love affair with dance. After just a few years of dancing as a student, Megan is now a full-time instructor at our studio and says she can’t wait to travel and compete with her students as a member of the Arthur Murray staff and dance family!
