The instructors of Arthur Murray Dance Center in Dayton came together once again to help the community in this year’s Dancing with the Kettering Stars to benefit the Kettering Police Foundation. “It’s an incredible opportunity for our studio to give back to the community with an organization as worthwhile as the Kettering Police Foundation.” said Barbara Haller, co-owner of Arthur Murray in Dayton. “Our instructors had so much fun helping our community celebrities learn their routines and develop a passion for dance.”
2019 participants included all of the instructors from Arthur Murray Dance Center in Dayton and a number of community celebrities including Mark Schwieterman – Kettering City Manager, Amy Schrimpf – Government Affairs Director for the Dayton Development Coalition, Lourdes Lambert – Principal at Archbishop Alter High School, Bethany Roush – Account Manager, and Matt Barnes – Police Officer.
This year’s winning team was Bethany Roush and Arthur Murray Dance Director, Craig Johnston. Bethany graduated from Fairmont in 2009. She is married to her high school sweetheart and is the mother to a two-year-old daughter. Bethany loves cheering on the Firebirds, Dayton Pizza, and the Chicago Cubs. Bethany works full-time as an account manager and was the 2018-2019 Holiday at Home Kettering, Ohio President.
Craig was born and raised in Scotland, U.K. He started his dance training at the age of 7. At 16 he was offered a scholarship to London Studio Centre, a top theatre college in London. His passion for dance has allowed him to travel extensively around the world, from stage shows to Dance Captain onboard Celebrity Cruises. Craig moved to Nashville, TN in 2013 to continue his career. He recently relocated to Dayton, OH where he is currently Dance Director at the Arthur Murray Dance Center.
